Our subdivision is next to a wildlife preserve that is home to many nesting cranes. The preserve has several trails accessed from the neighborhood and at the dead end of Shultz Rd. The trails have lake access during certain times of the year. During the open period please be respectful of the forest environment and stay on designated trail. Please do not crush or destroy vegetation. If using the beach, please pick up all garbage after use. Area is opened to enjoy from July to February and closed to protect the nesting cranes from March to June. 7. In this beautiful surrounding there are hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails, Tamarack Ski resort a short 5 mile drive, a beautiful lake with fishing and boating and boat launches within a couple of miles of the cabin. The cabin encounters little traffic as it is on a road dead ending at the tip of the peninsula. There is a fully equipped kitchen, living room, loft and TV room with flat screen TV's in the master bedroom and one guest bedroom as well as the loft. Open floor plan with wonderful views allowing the outdoors to become part of the attraction year round. The main floor has one bedroom with one full/twin bunkbed and a second twin bunkbed. The upstairs loft has a queen hide-a-bed, flat screen TV with DVD and ROKU, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed and TV with DVD player. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q) Is the guest house included? Will it be rented to other guests while we are there? A) The Shasta Suites sleeps 8 and has one bathroom. It is included with the Cabin and is never rented separately. Q) What is your cancellation policy? A) Reservations cannot be canceled. We only have the one property. Once your reservation is made other potential guests will book elsewhere and so we cannot recover our damages. We are happy to work with you, however, if you need to sublet or assign your reservation to someone else or make a similar substitution. Q) In August how low does the lake get? A) When the lake is full it has an elevation of 4828 feet. In 2016, it was fullest on June 10, at 4827.44 feet. On August 1, 2016, it was at 4821.6 feet and on August 31, 2016, it was at 4816.75 feet. On October 6, 2016, it reached the lowest level for the year at 4813.48 feet. In 2017 the lake was fullest on July 1, at 4827.36. feet. On Sept 10th, 2017, it had only dropped to 4819. It stayed between 4818 and 4819 until October 22, 2017, when it started to rise above 4819 again. The closest boat ramp to us is at the Donnelly City Park which has an end of ramp elevation of 4817 feet. At the end of August and in September we use the ramp at Rainbow Point, 4814 feet, or the ramp at Poison Creek, 4812 feet. All of this information and more than you will ever want to know can be found at the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's website. Q) Is it ok to beach or anchor our boat in front of the cabin? A) Absolutely. Not only is the beach kid friendly but it's also boat friendly, with a smooth, sandy, gentle slope. We have a permitted mooring buoy. Normally we beach our boat during the days and keep it attached to the mooring buoy during the nights. We learned that it is not a good idea to drive the boat up onto the beach. Instead, you should cut the engine and glide onto the beach. Our inboard/outboard has a cooling system for the engine that sucks water into a network of tubing with the intake near the propeller. Because our beach is entirely made of very fine white silver sand, over time the sand in the engine created unnecessary maintenance problems. Now, when beaching the boat, we drive toward the beach then, about ten or twenty yards out, we cut the engine and raise the prop out of the water as we glide in. Conversely, when leaving the beach, we push the boat out and lower the prop when it's about ten yards out before starting the engine. Q) Are there any rules about using the beach or surrounding waterfront? A) On Lake Cascade the beaches are public. Of course, as a guest at the cabin, you have direct access to the beach. If you are not staying at the cabin, but at another lot in the interior, you cannot trespass on the lakefront lots to get to the beach. You can legally get to any beach by boat or by land using an access lot. There are a couple of such access lots nearby to the north and to the south of us. We pay a membership to help maintain the one to the south. It has picnic tables, a fire pit, etc. and a beach. (Not as nice as ours though) Q) What would be the closest boat launch? A) That would be the Donnelly City Park which is one mile or three minutes. Late in the season when the water is low we sometimes use Rainbow Point. It is on the other side of the lake and is 5.6 miles or twelve minutes. Rainbow Point is only two miles by boat, however. We sometimes use, but only at extremely low water, Poison Creek which is 8.2 miles or 17 minutes. It is the campground closest to the Tamarack Resort on the other side of the lake and to the south of us. Q) Is there enough room for parking a boat trailer, snowmobile trailer, motorcycle trailer, etc.? A) Yes. There should be ample parking. We put in a circle drive in the fall of 2019! Q) Are kids ok? A) Absolutely. The cabin was made for kids of all ages. Q) Can we invite our friends up? A) You are welcome to have up to a total of 12 people on the property. Q) What are the rules? A) Just the usual rules. You and all guests must obey all laws. Smoking anywhere on the premises is prohibited. You are responsible for any damage that occurs during your stay. Be sensitive to the neighbors after the sun goes down.Suggested quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No on street parking. Q) Where can you rent boats? A) We highly recommend Mountain Meadow Adventure rentals. They are a 9 minute drive from the cabin (4 minutes on the lake) on the way to Tamarack. It is a family business and Ben and Rachel are super nice. If they are not busy they will bring the boat/jet ski right to the cabin's beach! Q) Is there a barbecue grill available? A) Yes. We have a standard sized propane BBQ grill available for use on the deck. Q) Do you have a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and hot dogs? A) Yes. There is a fire pit suitable for roasting marshmallows or hot dogs or for singing around the campfire and telling ghost stories, located on the beach. Q) Are there enough pots and pans for a large family or do we have to bring our own? A) The kitchen is fully equipped. If you have some specialty items or need to use an extra large pot, you may want to bring a few things of your own from home, but we have everything you normally need waiting for you in the cabin. Q) Do you have life jackets we can use? A) You will need to bring your own life jackets. Q) Can we have an early check-in and/or a late check-out? A) Let us know if you need or want to have extra time before or after the usual 11 a.m. check-out and 4 p.m. check-in time. When we can accommodate you, we will. It all depends on our housekeepers and how tightly our reservations are scheduled. Guests have full access to the Main Cabin and the Shasta Suites. I am always available by cell phone if you need anything. I live in Eagle, about 94 mi away. *Lake Cascade is a reservoir used for irrigation. The lake level varies during the year. At high water, the beaches around the lake are covered or nearly covered by water. At low water, the beaches are large and the lake is small and shallow.

The perfect summer or winter mountain cabin getaway, (cabin 1400 sq. ft. with guest house 600 sq. ft.) on lakefront lot. Sleeps 13 in beds. Located 5 minutes from Donnelly, Idaho on Sandy Drive. Just 20 minutes to Tamarack Resort; 25 minutes to McCall; 25 minutes to Cascade. Free wi-fi and cable TV. Fireplace. Firepit suitable for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Propane barbecue grill. Two more bedrooms in the guest house each sleep 4 with a queen size bed and a bunk bed in each room. Two of the full bathrooms have a shower and one of the full bathrooms has a tub and shower. **Lake Cascade is a reservoir used for irrigation. The lake level varies during the year. At high water, the beaches around the lake are covered or nearly covered by water. At low water, the beaches are large and the lake is small and shallow. On average, high water is in June and the first part of July. Low water is from the end of September to the first of April. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS *Is the guest house included? Will it be rented to other guests while we are there? The Shasta Suites sleeps 8 and has one bathroom. It is included with the Cabin and is never rented separately. *How long will you hold my reservation if I need time to consult with the others in my party? The cabin is listed on several third-party travel sites and is set for instant booking. Therefore, we cannot guarantee from moment to moment how long your tentative dates will be open. Guest reservations become effective upon payment. *What is your cancellation policy? Reservations cannot be canceled. We only have the one property. Once your reservation is made other potential guests will book elsewhere and so we cannot recover our damages. We are happy to work with you, however, if you need to sublet or assign your reservation to someone else or make a similar substitution. *In August how low does the lake get? When the lake is full it has an elevation of 4828 feet. For the 2016 season, it was fullest on June 10, at 4827.44 feet. On August 1, 2016, it was at 4821.6 feet and on August 31, 2016, it was at 4816.75 feet. On October 6, 2016, it reached the lowest level for the year at 4813.48 feet. In the 2017 season, it was fullest on July 1, at 4827.36. On September 10, 2017, it had only dropped to 4819.00. It stayed between 4818 and 4819 until October 22, 2017, when it started to rise above 4819 again. The closest boat ramp to us is at the Donnelly City Park which has an end of ramp elevation of 4817 feet. At the end of August and in September we use the ramp at Rainbow Point, 4814 feet, or the ramp at Poison Creek, 4812 feet. All of this information and more than you will ever want to know can be found at the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation s website. *Is it ok to beach or anchor our boat in front of the cabin? Absolutely. Not only is the beach kid friendly but it s also boat friendly, with a smooth, sandy, gentle slope. We have a permitted mooring buoy. Normally we beach our boat during the days and keep it attached to the mooring buoy during the nights. We learned that it is not a good idea to drive the boat up onto the beach. Instead, you should cut the engine and glide onto the beach. Our inboard/outboard has a cooling system for the engine that sucks water into a network of tubing with the intake near the propeller. Because our beach is entirely made of very fine white silver sand, over time the sand in the engine created unnecessary maintenance problems. Now, when beaching the boat, we drive toward the beach then, about ten or twenty yards out, we cut the engine and raise the prop out of the water as we glide in. Conversely, when leaving the beach, we push the boat out and lower the prop when it s about ten yards out before starting the engine. *Are there any rules about using the beach or surrounding waterfront? On Cascade Lake the beaches are public. Of course, as a guest at the cabin, you have direct access to the beach. If you are not staying at the cabin, but at another lot in the interior, you cannot trespass on the lakefront lots to get to the beach. You can legally get to any beach by boat or by land using an access lot. There are a couple of such access lots nearby to the north and to the south of us. We pay a membership to help maintain the one to the south. It has picnic tables, a fire pit, etc. and a beach. (Not as nice as ours though) *What would be the closest boat launch? That would be the Donnelly City Park which is one mile or three minutes. Late in the season when the water is low we sometimes use Rainbow Point. It is on the other side of the lake and is 5.6 miles or twelve minutes. Rainbow Point is only two miles by boat, however. We sometimes use, but only at extremely low water, Poison Creek which is 8.2 miles or 17 minutes. It is the campground closest to the Tamarack Resort on the other side of the lake and to the south of us. *Is there enough room for parking a boat trailer, snowmobile trailer, motorcycle trailer, etc.? Yes. There is plenty of parking on the property. *Can we bring our dog? Yes, so long as your dog is well mannered and you clean up after him/her. There is a modest pet fee added to your rate. *Are kids ok? Absolutely. The cabin was made for kids of all ages. *Can we invite our friends up? For large events that include spillover people in RVs and tents, you will need to get our prior consent. And there will perhaps be a surcharge. If you and your family have the cabin and you are so excited about it that you call another family or two to come up and experience a night over, that is only normal. As long as guest total is 13 or less, you have permission and there is no surcharge. *What are the rules about parties? Just the usual rules. You and all guests must obey all laws. Smoking anywhere on the premises is prohibited. You are responsible for any damage that occurs during your stay. Be sensitive to the neighbors after the sun goes down. (Some people like to catch up on their sleep while at the lake). And clean up after the party. You will hear from management if beer cans, cigarette butts, pizza boxes, etc. are found anywhere on the premises after you check out. *There are boats in the pictures. Are the boats available or do we have to rent our own? The boats are not included. At the present time, we are not in the business of renting boats. *Where can you rent watercraft? Cheap Thrills Rentals in McCall. Mile High Marina in McCall. Intermountain Power Sports Rentals in Nampa and in Cascade. Mountain Meadow Adventure Rentals near Donnelly. *Is there a barbecue grill available? Yes. We have a standard sized propane BBQ grill available for use on the deck. *Do you have a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and hot dogs? Yes. There is a fire pit suitable for roasting marshmallows or hot dogs or for singing around the campfire and telling ghost stories. It’s located on the side lot next to the cabin. *Are there enough pots and pans for a large family or do we have to bring our own? The kitchen is fully equipped. If you have some specialty items or need to use an extra large pot, you may want to bring a few things of your own from home, but we have everything you normally need waiting for you in the cabin. *Do you have life jackets we can use? You will need to bring your own life jackets. *Can we have an early check-in and/or a late check-out? Let us know if you need or want to have extra time before or after the usual 11 a.m. check-out and 4 p.m. check-in time. When we can accommodate you, we will. It all depends on our housekeepers and how tightly our reservations are scheduled. *Can we get a break on the price? Come create lasting memories with your family and friends at our mountain getaway in Donnelly. 2300 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 2 full baths, hot tub, massive kitchen, expansive great room, and plenty of space throughout! Lots of privacy at end of cul de sac and 360 degree views of all the mountains. Walking distance to sandy beach or snowmobile out the back door. 3 kings, 1 queen, 1 double and a bunk bed (not many places have 3 comfy king beds)! Must see pictures!!! 3 king beds, one queen, one double and a bunkbed...Not many places have 4 king beds and ours are so comfortable!!!! If you like your bedspace come to our cabin. Huge deck on 3 sides and views of mountains on all sides of the cabin. Walking distance to sandy beach. Must see pictures. Come enjoy a relaxing SUMMER vacation at our spacious, newly remodeled private, cabin at the end of a cul de sac. We just spent a year and a half adding on 900 square feet including a brand new kitchen. It is only 150' to your own private sandy beach; bring your boat right up to the property. Plenty of sand for the kids to build castles and the beach has a gentle slope to the water, no dangerous drop offs for the kids. Just walk into refreshing Lake Cascade and water ski, read a book or drink foo foo drinks on the beach and we'll even supply the little umbrellas for the drinks as well as plenty of beach umbrellas in case you don't want to be in the sun for hours. During June July and August host prefers 7 days or more rental but if you want for less than 7 days, contact host and maybe it will be available and they can rent to you for less than 7 days. Probably no 2 or 3 day rentals allowed on weekends in June July and August but you can ask. We have been renting our cabin for years and have had many family reunions, girls' weekends, and business meetings there. We are dog friendly but prefer only one dog, if you have more you have to ask the host. Also if you are bringing a dog, you have to let the host know. This two-story log cabin is located on Cascade Lake. Summer activities include mountain biking, hiking, fishing, a round of golf at one of the five courses in the valley and all the water sports you can handle. In the WINTER, the skiing and snowmobiling can't be beat. Snowmobile right from the cabin to the mountains. We have gorgeous views of the Mountains and plenty of privacy at the end of the lane. The weather in Donnelly is generally great. In the winter, cozy up to the wood burning stove and sip hot chocolate or step outside and snowmobile through the fields next door. You can cross country ski right outside the back door through the trees or down by the beach. There is plenty of wide open space, peaceful, and beautiful scenery in all directions. It's a paradise that is too good to be true. The best part of our cabin is it's accessible all winter long but not too many neighbors. We are at the end of a cul de sac. The interior is spacious, comfortable, and also private with five bedrooms. The loft is a great place for kids to play games and watch TV and it overlooks the living area. For those cold winter nights, cozy up to the wood burning stove. We also have electric heat. We are located 90 miles from Boise, Idaho and 15 minutes to the new Tamarack Resort - you can see the slopes from our front window. We are only 15 miles from McCall and beautiful Payette Lake. Brundage Mountain Ski Resort is about 40 minutes away. Fall is one of our favorite times at the cabin, gorgeous weather during September and October and there is so much to do....hiking, biking, golfing, hunting, sitting on the deck in the sunshine getting those last few rays of sunshine. Lower rates and it is so quiet in the Donnelly/McCall area. A very unique home built by my father in the 70's. On a peninsula, we are right on the beach with a island just off shore adding a bit of privacy. In the high water season (spring and summer) there's a nice swimming hole and in low water season you will have to walk out a bit as the water recedes and becomes murky in front of the house. We have a spacious yard with plenty of room for RV's and campers or in the winter, snowmobiles and trailers. There is a long interior drive that allows you to pull a boat or trailer through the property without backing up to exit on Gooseneck ct. There is possibility for port a potty rentals in the summer if there were extra people wanting to camp or bring trailers (there are a couple of good parking places under the trees away from the house). There is a stove heated sauna not many steps from the front door that is rather relaxing after the days activities. The house is very open being the only rooms in the house to have a door are the bathroom and the wood/storage room. YOU MUST know how to light and keep a fire in the winter months as our electric heating system is way outdated and does very poorly. There are two wood stoves that will keep the cabin plenty warm. The first floor contains the Kitchen/dinning area that is equipped with a double sink, electric oven/stove, toaster oven, blender, juicer, fridge/freezer, a rock top island/bar and a large dinning table (seats 9) and benches. Sitting areas on the first floor include the sun/solar room with many windows and a futon , long coffee table and few chairs. The other seating area is where the TV and wood stove are located. At the top of the first set of stairs you will find the bathroom (with an old cast iron tub and a funky shower rigged up that works well enough but should be bigger. There is a book case with some health books, lots of kids books, some hippy books and crayons. There is a futon and an old drafting table with some stools to have deep conversations around or color some pictures. There is a dresser and another bookcase with a growing selection of books before you enter the laundry area. In the bedroom you will find a full size bed and desk with a great lake view out the windows lining the room. Up the narrow stair case to the third floor is the more private bedroom with a queen and single bed and once again a lake view! Above that is a secret tower which must remain locked... On the maps it may look like the house is a block from the lake but that is meant to represent the size of the property,. The front lawn ends at the beach area. In the summer months you can enter the property from either Gooseneck Ct. or Scott Ln. whereas mentioned before, there is a round drive connecting those two roads. Check in is 3:pm Check out is 11:am if other guests are arriving on that day. (If no booking conflict exists you may have a late check out. You will need to call and confirm on the day of departure that no one else is scheduled to arrive that afternoon to have a late check out. )

This home is located on Cascade Lake in a quiet neighborhood. There is plenty of room for a few families with sleeping arrangements for maximum 8 adults and 6 children. Come and relax in this peaceful lakefront setting. The views of the lake from the home are stunning all year round. You can access the lake from the small dock off the back yard in June and early July when the lake is full. As the water retreats in late July and August, enjoy the beautiful views and the diverse animal life that come to visit. In the winter months ski at Tamarack or Brundage ski resorts, go snowmobiling, snow-shoeing, sledding, and soak in the local hot springs. You can always relax at home by the wood burning fireplace and watch the beautiful sunsets over the mountains. It's perfectly safe and healthy but might catch you off guard if you are not expecting it. Orange does not mean dirty in the Hawks Bay community. 3. While we love pets the property is not setup for pets as we do not have all the outside landscaping done and if they wander they can get VERY muddy if it rains. We are trying to keep our cleaning fee low while providing high standards and it requires an extraordinary amount of extra cleaning to remove all evidence of pets. We don't even bring our own pets when we visit because of this. 4. Please no smoking in the home or garage. We have a strict policy and you will be charged for all the damages. 5. You are in the mountains so you may see bugs, wildlife or the occasional spider around the property. We do our absolute best to keep them in their natural habitat and not in our beautiful home but please understand that is the trade off of being in the wilderness. 6. We have some cameras on the property to help us maintain the property (snow removal, etc) while we are not there and managing remotely. We have a camera at the front entry, in the garage to ensure the door is closed and in the driveway on the flood light to cover the driveway, flood light camera in the driveway and on the front patio. These are for your protection and ensure no unexpected things arise on the property before you arrive. These are NOT to be tampered with in any way or you will be immediately evicted without a refund. 7. Be cool and register all your guests with us. If you want to have a good time with your buddies make sure they are part of the 12 registered guests. Bringing more than 12 without approval will result in immediate eviction. 8. Trash day is early Wednesday morning so all guests who join us Tuesday you are required to put the cans on the street for pickup early in the morning Wednesday. Else someone is taking a fun trip to the dump. It's a pretty drive but no one wants to pay for that. $50 fee for non compliance. $50 per hour for excessive trash collection left in the home. Plus it's gross so just don't do it.

Outside of the master bedroom is a lofted office space - great for getting any last-minute work done. WIFI is provided for your convenience. Head downstairs to the bottom floor to find bedroom 4, bedroom 5, and a theatre room. Bedrooms 4 and 5 both hold Queen-size beds and can access a shared bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Guests will spend plenty of time hosting their own private screening in the theatre room clad with a pellet stove, theatre seating, and a big screen TV and DVD player.
